The air compressor is designed according to the load of the factory plus a margin of 10-20. The actual demand of the factory has seasonal and temporal fluctuations, which also leads to large fluctuations in gas consumption. So the air compressor is not all full load operation, saving a lot of space.

The traditional air compressor is called a power frequency air compressor, which runs at a constant speed during operation. Even with no load, the motor current will reach 60-70 at full load. This part of the electricity is completely wasted, and the power frequency air compressor has been running at a constant speed, so the life of the motor is also wasted and the noise is relatively large.

Under such disadvantages, the demand for variable frequency air compressors is gradually increasing. When the variable frequency air compressor starts, the motor speed increases at 1.1 point until the rated speed, thereby reducing the starting current, which not only reduces the impact on the power grid, but also protects the electrical equipment of the equipment itself. During use, the frequency converter will adjust the motor speed according to the pressure feedback to keep the voltage constant, while reducing the number of start and stop of the air compressor, thereby extending the service life of the air compressor. Due to the constant pressure output, the noise of the air compressor is also reduced a lot relative to the power frequency.
The core technology of each inverter manufacturer is different, so the control of the motor in use will be different. The frequency converter includes stand-alone and multi-drive systems, which can drive asynchronous motors, permanent magnet synchronous motors and linear motors. 1. Given the frequency converter can reach 0.01hz, the speed stabilization accuracy of open-loop vector control can reach 0.2, and even the motor speed can be controlled one by one, which can automatically compensate for the change of motor speed under high load, greatly improving the pressure control accuracy of the system and responding quickly and accurately to the actual pressure change.
2. Provide powerful and sensitive software protection functions, such as current limiting protection, over-current and over-voltage protection, short circuit to ground protection, overload protection, IGBT through protection, abnormal current detection, abnormal relay closing, etc. Ensure the stability and reliability of the air compressor system.
3. Vector control algorithm, stable operation, good dynamic performance, high precision, positioning in the closed-loop vector control, can control the motor speed from 0Hz to 1500Hz, to a certain extent, played a role in energy saving.
4. The frequency converter can directly adjust the output frequency of the motor after processing according to the pressure signal fed back by the pressure sensor, instead of passing through the controller as in the traditional way.
After that, an analog quantity is given as the frequency of the inverter. This greatly reduces the accuracy instability caused by analog fluctuations, and at the same time, data can be exchanged faster and more accurately through 485 communication.
